Our promise to you
Written down so we
can be held to it.
RubyEverywhere only works if you can trust where it's going. Here's what we commit to: plainly, up front, and on the record.
-
01 Always free
The core is free, and always will be
The tooling that turns your Rails, Hanami, or Sinatra app into a native app is free and open source. If you own the right machines and meet the requirements, you can build your apps and release them entirely on your own, with no subscription, no account, no catch. That's the foundation, and it stays free forever.
-
02 Optional
Or let us handle the build for you
Native builds mean signing certificates (and figuring out how to set it up in the way Apple wants), notarization, and the right machine in the loop. If you'd rather skip all of that, an optional subscription lets us do it on your behalf. You push your app, we build, sign, and package it on your behalf. Same result, without owning the hardware or babysitting the pipeline. It's a convenience you can choose, never a toll you have to pay.
-
03 No dead ends
If the platform can't go on, you keep the keys
If the hosted platform ever becomes unsustainable for us to run, we'll open-source it so you, or anyone, can keep it going. And no matter what happens to the paid service, the core stays free and open source. You'll never be left stranded on something you can't run yourself.
Free at the core, optional at the edges, open source as the floor.
